The Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on its official page that the meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the US State Department, discussed the developments in the political situation in Libya, and the US support to continue the efforts of the United Nations mission in Libya.

According to the page, Al-Manqoush stressed the rejection of any way or reasons to make the country in a state of political division, stressing the efforts of the national unity government to impose security and renounce violence in all its forms, and to reach elections as soon as possible to achieve the aspirations of the people.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs also expressed her appreciation for the American role in supporting stability in Libya, and the support of the international position in support of elections as the only solution to the Libyan crisis, and the necessity of selecting a representative for Libya in the United Nations Support Mission in Libya; And that he serves its interests and has experience in the Libyan file, which is in line with the government’s vision. They also agreed to avoid any step that would lead to inciting violence and destabilizing the country.
