The Council of Elders and Wise men of Libya considers activation of the constitutional Court in response to public demand.

Tripoli, 20 August 2022 (Lana) The Supreme Council of Elders and Wise men of Libya blessed the High Court decision to activate the Constitutional Court.
The Council praised the decision in a statement, considering it in response to the public demand and helps remove the specter of war by going directly to the Constitutional Court to resolve political differences, and stop bloodshed and preserve the national cohesion and unity.
The Council said the step came at this critical time in the history of our country, and the frantic struggle for power, through military and media mobilization in the absence of consensus on a constitutional basis and an electoral law, in which everyone ensure their rights and duties.
The Council stressed that national reconciliation was an irreplaceable option under the Transitional Justice and Reparations Act.
