Criminal Investigation arrests a gang in Ghout al-Shaal area, accused of theft and armed robbery.

Tripoli, 8 August , 2022 (lana) - Members of the Tripoli Criminal Investigation Office, arrested a gang engaged in theft and armed robbery "and theft of a sum of 30,000 euros in the Ghout al-Shaal area of Tripoli as part of the efforts of the Ministry of Interior and Its security forces arrest the perpetrators and criminals.

The website of the Ministry of the Interior stated that, based on the report received from the Ghout al-Shaal police station regarding the armed robbery, the security services conducted criminal investigations in Tripoli with investigations, gathering information and controlling the gang formation who were on board a Toyota “Hilux” vehicle, the colour of which is white, opaque, glass without plates.

 four unidentified persons were apprehended. The security services also seized the crime tools in their possession and used in the incident, which are the motorized vehicle, two PKT firearms, a Kalashnikov rifle, a hand -grenade and masks.

All legal measures were taken against them and referred to the Ghout al-Shaal police station in terms of jurisdiction to be referred afterwards to the Public Prosecution.
