Ministry of Finance: Pay increase for health sector workers effective as of August

Tripoli, 8 August, 2022 (Lana) - GNU Ministry of Finance has revealed that the planned increase for employees of Ministry of Health will be included in the August salary in the event that the required matching procedures are completed.

The ministry stated that in event of delay in implementation of matching, the planned increase will be implemented through salaries of the month of September, noting that work on the file of matching data of workers in the health sector is still under procedure after the meeting of the committee formed by the Ministry of Health with the Department (Budget - Payroll Section).

In its statement, the Ministry of Finance confirmed that the Ministries of Interior, Higher Education, Scientific Research, and Technical Education had fulfilled the conformity procedures through the formed committees, their communication with the Payroll Section in the Budget Department, and the holding of successive meetings that culminated in the enforcement of the prescribed increases for the benefit of the aforementioned authorities.

The Ministry also noted that, through the budget management, it had adopted a clear mechanism through which it defined the terms of reference and duties of each of the authorities with regard to its tasks to implement and follow up the procedures established regarding salary increases for workers in the public sector.
