Signing of an agreement between the Embassy of Japan in Libya and the World Food Program to support school feeding in Libya.

Tripoli, July 29, 2022 (LANA) - The World Food Program signed an agreement with the Embassy of the State of Japan in Libya that aims for Tokyo to provide the necessary support for the program's operations in Libya.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation stated that the agreement, which oversaw its signing ceremony, comes within the framework of Japanese support for the program's operations in Libya and the unification of regional and international efforts and partnerships to achieve the 2030 sustainable development goals.

The statement stressed that work will be done between the two sides to enhance efforts to support food security levels, including the National School Feeding Program.

The agreement, which was signed in coordination with the Ministry of Social Affairs, Chargé d'Affairs at the Japanese Embassy, ​​"Masaki Amadera", and the Country Director of the World Food Program in Libya, "Maysa Al-Gharibawi".
