Official in charge of women's support at the Election Commission discusses with the Ambassador of the State of Canada the prospects of cooperation and joint programs to support women.

 Tripoli, 28 July 2022 (Lana) A member of the Commission's Council and in charge of the women’s support Rabab Halab met the Ambassador of the State of Canada to Libya "Isabel Safard" in the Office of the Commission Council.

 During this meeting, prospects for bilateral cooperation and ways to support women were discussed, and Safard confirmed her support for the unit's work towards ensuring women's participation in the upcoming electoral benefits, adding that they look forward to further cooperation to facilitate women's participation in the electoral process, and to address the challenges and difficulties that may face their participation in the upcoming benefits.

Safard praised the role played by the Women's Unit, which reflects the commission's interest and strengthening of this role.
