Abul Gheit: Renewed use of arms in Libya is worrying.

   Cairo, 24 July 2022 (Lana) Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Abul Gheit expressed concern about clashes in Tripoli and Misrata over the past two days that have left civilian casualties.

     Abul Gheit considers the renewed use of weapons and armed clashes, regardless of their parties, to be worrying and urged the competent Libyan authorities to take the necessary measures to restore security, Jamal Rushdy, spokesman for the secretary general of the Arab League said in a press release on Sunday.

  Rushdi called on all Libyan political actors to assume their responsibilities towards uniting state institutions, particularly the military and security institutions, as an important part of restoring stability in Libya.
