Al-Haddad inspects with the Acting Interior Minister areas where armed clashes took place.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, 23 July 2022(Lana) The Army Chief of Staff Mohammed Al-Haddad, together with the Acting Minister of Interior Badreddine Al Toumi and the Head of the Military Operations Authority, the Undersecretary of the Interior Ministry for Directorates Affairs, and a number of heads of security services, inspected the area of Ain Zara to to get a firsthand account of the damage and losses sustained in the events that took place in the area on Thursday and Friday.
Al-Haddad's inspection tour followed a decision by the Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, to task the chief of general staff of the Libyan army, and the Acting Interior Minister with supervising and following up the ceasefire in the armed clashes in Tripoli.
During his tour, the team met with the residents of the area, to reassure them that the Army stands with them, and will protect them, and that such abuses and security breaches will not repeat, calling on everyone to stand up and support state institutions and correct their course and tasks to provide their services to all Libyans, not particular families, regions or tribes.
