GNU Cabinet holds its 10th regular meeting for 2022.

Tripoli, 20 July, 2022 (Lana) - The Council of Ministers of the Government of National Unity held its 10th regular meeting for 2022, Wednesday, headed by Prime Minister Abdel Hamid Dabaiba.

In statement, at the outset of the meeting, Dabaiba welcomed the resumption of oil production and export as first and main resource for the public budget and the change at the helm of the National Oil Corporation taken through cabinet consensus.

At the meeting, Dabaiba announced the start of disbursing salaries of employees of Ministry of Interior and employees of colleges and higher institutes according to the unified salary matrix approved by the government, urging the rest of the sectors to work to reconcile with the Ministry of Finance to start disbursing the salaries of their employees according to the matrix.

 He also announced the start of disbursing the rewards of the Holy Qur’an wallets approved in 2022, as 6 months were disbursed and their disbursement will be organized during the next period.

With regard to adjusting salaries of retirees, Dabaiba confirmed that they will be disbursed with the arrears, as well as disbursing the salaries of medical and auxiliary medical personnel next month after reconcilement process with the Ministry of Finance.

During the meeting, Dabaiba announced the start of disbursing the stipends to university and higher institute students at a value of 750 dinars, after failing to pay them during the last period.

 GNU Prime Minister, Abdel Hamid al-Dabaiba, announced the start of disbursing loan grants and distributing residential plots for youth as part of the government’s lending initiative, coinciding with International Youth Day (August 12).

On the salary release process initiated by the government, Al-Dabaila announced the continuation of the process of releases and the payment of salaries to workers in troubled companies from January 1 to June 2022. Regarding the marriage grant for young people, Dabaiba confirmed that it will continue to be granted in the near future.

 In his speech, Al-Dabaiba reassured the livestock breeder of the actual start of supplying fodder to the breeders to address the shortage of this material. In his speech, Dabaiba reiterated the government's position to implement its commitments, calling on ministers to implement all decisions relevant to their respective ministries.

Dabaiba revealed that he instructed Ministry of Oil to disclose all daily oil and gas production and revenues, and to coordinate with the regulatory bodies.
