Deputy of the Presidential Council (Al-Lafi) discusses with the Chargé d'Affairs at the Egyptian Embassy a number of issues of common interest.

Tripoli, July 18, 2022 (LANA) - The Representative of the Presidential Council, Mr. Abdullah Al-Lafi, met this morning, Monday, the Chargé d'Affairs of the Egyptian Embassy in Libya, Tamer Mustafa.
The meeting discussed a number of files of common interest, ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries, and the latest developments in the political process in Libya.
Al-Lafi stressed the depth of the historical relations between the two brotherly countries, praising the role of Egypt in supporting national reconciliation efforts in Libya, and its efforts in sponsoring some tracks of the Libyan dialogue.
For his part, the Egyptian Chargé d'Affairs reiterated Cairo's keenness to support a peaceful solution to the Libyan crisis, in a manner that guarantees security and stability in the country, in order to achieve the aspirations of the Libyan people by holding parliamentary and presidential elections with the participation of all Libyans.
