Ras Ajdir Port Manager: We have several proposals to address congestion and need broad support.

Tripoli, July 17, 2022 (LANA) - The director of Ras Ajdir port, Brigadier General "Salem Al-Akaak," attributed the cause of overcrowding at the port to the increase in the number of passengers on occasions and holidays, which reached 7000 Libyan passengers per day.

Al-Akaak said in press statements today that the number of waiting hours yesterday, Saturday, at the port did not exceed two hours, after reaching about 10 hours in the past few days.

The director of the port confirmed that we have several proposals to address the congestion that occurs from time to time, pointing out that the necessity of providing the necessary support for this and the cooperation of travelers with the security services at the port.

Al-Akaak noted that the traveler's culture plays a role in easing congestion if travelers choose public transportation, "buses."

He explained that a special corridor has been allocated for express buses to facilitate their passage with ease, pointing out that express buses in the worst cases wait at the port for no more than two hours as a maximum.
