Riyadh 16 July 2022 (Lana) Riyadh and Washington have confirmed their support for the UN-sponsored political process in Libya aimed at preparing for the presidential and parliamentary elections as soon as possible.
In a joint statement, on the sidelines of President Joe Biden's visit to Saudi Arabia, the two countries expressed their full support for the ceasefire agreement, which calls for complete departure of foreign troops, foreign fighters and mercenaries without delay, in accordance with Security Council Resolution 2570 of 2021.
