GNU Ministry of Finance welcomes lifting of force majeure on oil fields and terminals.

   Tripoli, 16 July 2022 (Lana) The Ministry of Finance welcomed the Government of National Unity has welcomed announcement by the National Oil Corporation on Friday of lifting the force majeure on oil fields and terminals and to resume production and shipping of crude oil and gas.

 The Ministry explained, in a statement posted on its official SMS page that the lifting of force majeure contributes to the collection of revenues, to cover salaries and other expenses, stressing that the collection of revenues covers operational expenses and the development of the oil sector and the provision of basic services and coverage of fuel and electricity subsidies.
