Dabaiba: Electricity Public Company is going through many difficulties and problems.

 Tripoli, 4 July, 2022 (Lana) - The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdel Hamid Dabaiba, stressed that the General Electricity Company is going through many difficulties and problems, and the issue of electricity must be addressed with full clarity as it is an issue that concerns all the Libyan people.

The prime minister said during the 9th ordinary cabinet meeting, which was held today at the council’s office in the capital, that we misjudged the electricity crisis, and it became clear to us that the problem of electricity needs more time than we thought, and it is going through great challenges, including the maintenance of old stations, building new stations and problems specific to the company itself.

 Al-Dabaiba explained that the temporary suspension of the board of directors of the General Electricity Company came back to work as a result of purely technical reasons, and a new board of directors will be formed in the middle of this month.
