Mazen said in his intervention during today's cabinet meeting in Tripoli that the demonstration was a protest against the poor living conditions in the country in general, and in particular the problem of electricity, which stopped everything and was the cause of fuel shortages and the stopping of a lot of work for citizens.
The Minister of Interior stated that permission was granted for these demonstrations in accordance with the laws in force and their location in Martyrs' Square.
The Minister indicated that through the ongoing investigations and follow-up, it became clear that there are people involved in inciting sabotage and destruction, and their goal is neither reform nor supporting the citizens in their demands.
Mazen stressed that the ministry has begun to take legal measures, and these people will be prosecuted at home or abroad, and international bulletins will be issued to bring them to justice.
