UN Mission Announces conclusion of second meeting of local and international ceasefire observers.

    Tripoli, 30 June 2022 (Lana) The second meeting of local and international ceasefire monitors was concluded in the presence of two members of the Joint Military Commission (5+5) the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNAMA) announced Thursday.

The mission explained on its SMS page that the meeting lasted for two days during which the work procedures of the observers were presented and discussed, the structure of their committee, the exchange of experiences and the drawing of future steps to begin activating their work from the headquarters of the Joint Military Commission in Sirte.

The mission added that at the end of the meeting, the acting head of mission, Georgette Gagnon, praised the fruitful efforts of the Joint Military Commission, affirming the support of the United Nations and the team of local and international observers to ensure the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement.
