Al-Kony receives Ambassador of the Netherlands: ballot boxes is the solution to Libyan crisis.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, 30 June 2022 (Lana) Vice President of Presidential Council , Moussa Al-Kony received Thursday Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Libya, who carried a diplomatic message confirming the Netherlands' continued support for the presidential council as a political partner, as an effective leadership that would stabilize Libya and make the project of comprehensive national reconciliation a success.
The meeting focused on the political situation in Libya, hope of achieving an agreement between the presidents of the Lower And upper Houses of Parliament in Geneva, and reaching a constitutional rule in which the country will move towards elections as soon as possible, and the importance of the European role in pushing in this direction, so that Libya can achieve its stability, which is stability for Europe.
During the interview held at the Council's Office in Tripoli, Al-Kony stressed that the solution that will allow Libya to emerge from its crisis necessarily passes through the ballot boxes that the people choose the president of Libya, and Libya has a head of state like the countries of the world.
The meeting touched on the situation in southern Libya, which has maintained the unity of Libyan territory despite the difficult circumstances it has experienced over the past years, where the Dutch Ambassador expressed his country's interest in supporting the southern Libyan region in two areas, to ensure its development and stability in coordination with the relevant authorities.
