Aqila: Consultative meetings in Geneva an opportunity to bridge views to reach a permanent constitution for the country.

Tripoli, 28 June, 2022 (Lana) - Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, described the launching of consultative meetings at the United Nations Palace in Geneva, Tuesday, as an opportunity to bridge the views of the members of the committee in charge of the constitutional base, to reach a constitution that guarantees freedom, social justice and the preservation of the civil character of the Libyan state.

In his speech during the opening session of these meetings, Saleh praised the role of UN advisor Stephanie Williams in resolving the Libyan crisis, stressing that the House of Representatives seeks reconciliation aimed at giving priority to reason, imposing social peace and dialogue, and reconciliation based on strong and permanent foundations.

 In his speech, Saleh stressed that the House of Representatives is keen that the Libyan people choose their rulers without any foreign interference and through fair and transparent elections to exit the transitional phase.
