In a letter to the UN Secretary General, a copy of which was obtained by Lana, Dr. Abu Qrain said Libya, which has provided a lot of humanitarian assistance to the whole world in all crises, wars, earthquakes, natural and humanitarian disasters, and provided material assistance from funds, medicines, medical supplies, food and others - we see it today and unfortunately for more than ten years is going through the worst humanitarian conditions of severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies, poor conditions at hospitals and healthcare centers, and general medical clinics collapsed, and suffer from shortages of medical professionals and medical supplies, and most foreign elements have departed, as well as a general lack of maintenance, renovation and development of all medical facilities.
He pointed out that with the spread of the COVID 19 pandemic and the resulting pressures on the collapsed health system, which has been unable for years to respond to any emergency and unable to provide health services at all levels, which increased the burden of the patient with increased epidemic diseases and chronic diseases and the high number of cases of tumors, immune and genetic diseases, kidney failure, cirrhosis, cardiac, cerebral and pulmonary strokes and other common diseases, not to mention victims of wars and road accidents.

“My country is going through the worst humanitarian and health conditions in particular, and the threats to the health and quality of life of the nation are increasing. I hope that you will give the humanitarian file priority in taking care of the affairs of Libya and its people, which have recently been of assistance to most of the peoples of the world in their crises. Libya has sufficient resources and expertise just help stop things that hurt it.
