Al Dabaiba welcomes statement by US and European powers saying it is consistent with our position of rejecting violence, seizing power by force or creating any parallel bodies.

    Tripoli, 25 June 2022 (Lana) The Head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Al Dabiba, welcomed the joint statement of the governments of United States, France, Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom, saying that it is in line with our position against violence, seizing power by force, and the creation of any parallel bodies.

He expressed his satisfaction with the statement's compatibility with the UN position, which resolved the issue of the continued work of the Libyan parties in accordance with the decisions of the political agreement, which stipulated the importance of implementing elections in accordance with a constitutional rule.

In a tweet posted on his personal account, Al Dabaiba reiterated his commitment to pursue the policy of disclosure and transparency about government spending, and to put in place a clear national mechanism for doing so.
