 Tripoli, 21 June 2022 (Lana) President of the Presidential Council Mohamed Al-Mnefi received on Tuesday European Union's Ambassador to Libya, José Sabadell, to discuss the latest developments in the political process in Libya and the mechanism for strengthening Libyan-European relations.

 According to the Presidential Communication Office, the meeting discussed ways of cooperation between Libya and EU countries in maintaining the unification of state institutions, strengthening partnership for development, implementing national dialogue tracks, the file of national reconciliation, and ways to reach a political solution to the crisis.

 During the audience, the President of the Presidential Council stressed the importance of partnership with EU countries, particularly in implementing the strategic vision of the national reconciliation project, which will be announced by the Presidential Council this week.

For his part, the European Ambassador praised the role of the Presidential Council in preserving the unity of the country, expressing EU readiness to support the Council's efforts in the field of national reconciliation.
