President of Presidential Council receives Congolese Foreign Minister.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, 21 June, 2022 (Lana) - President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manfi received, Tuesday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Congo-Brazzaville, Jean-Claude Jacuso, to discuss the latest political developments in Libya.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Congolese minister conveyed the greetings of President Deni Sassou Nguesso, Chairman of the High Level Committee on Libya, praising the depth of bilateral relations between the two friendly African countries.
The Congolese Foreign Minister expressed his country and African Union countries' readiness to support the Libyans to reach a political solution that paves the way for parliamentary and presidential elections as soon as possible, stressing that Libya had an active role in the African Union, and that it would overcome its crisis and return to its place in the African continent and the world.
For his part, the President of the Council praised the efforts of the Republic of Congo-Brazzaville and the African Union in working to achieve stability in a number of African countries, stressing that it will reflect positively on the return of stability and peace in Libya, and on bringing the political process to safety.
