Al-Koni assures the European Union Ambassador to Libya importance of elections and national reconciliation to Presidential Council.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, 20 June, 2022 (Lana) - Representative of the Presidential Council, Musa Al-Koni, received the Ambassador of the European Union to Libya Jose Sabadell, who affirmed the continuation of the European Union's support for Libya until it reaches the stage of permanent stability with the success of the national reconciliation project, and the holding of elections that the Libyan people aspire to.
Al-Koni explained that elections and national reconciliation are the most important files in the work of the Presidential Council at the present time, and praised the role of the European Union, which aims to achieve stability in Libya.
The meeting, held Monday in Tripoli, also dealt with the illegal immigration file and the efforts being made by the European Union and Libya to curb it.
