President of High Council of State receives invitation to visit Cairo .

Tripoli, 16 June, 2022 (Lana) - President of High Council of State, Khaled Al-Mashri received an invitation from Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Libyan Affairs, Stephanie Williams, to visit the Egyptian capital, Cairo, in order to meet with the President of Parliament, Aguila Saleh. The media office of the council stated that Al-Mashri is currently studying the feasibility of the visit in solving the contentious problems in the country, especially stalemate of the political and constitutional track.

Al-Mashri stressed that the visit is not an end in itself, and that what is important is the seriousness of the other party in finding a national consensus to end the transitional stages, by renewing political legitimacy in Libya through elections as soon as possible, and not wasting more time in Creating new crises for which the citizen will pay the price, according to the media office.
