Paris, 15 June, 2022 (Lana) - France and Algeria agreed to continue cooperation on a number of regional files, including the Libyan file.

This came during a phone call made by French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna with Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra.

The French Foreign Ministry said, in a tweet that the communication focused on regional crises, especially in Libya and the African Sahel region.

During this call, the French minister expressed the common desire to preserve French-Algerian relations, considering cooperation between the two countries as pivotal to dealing with regional crises, especially in Mali and Libya, as she put it.
