Tripoli, June 13, 2022 (LANA) - The head of the Supreme Council of State, "Khaled Al-Mashri" stressed the importance of the military institution playing its role in preventing security chaos and keeping it away from political quarrels and any interference in the political dialogue with its various tracks.
Al-Mashri said - during his meeting today, Monday, with the Chief of General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant-General "Mohamed Al-Haddad" at the council's headquarters in the capital, Tripoli - that the political dialogues currently taking place in various tracks are within the competence of the political bodies represented in the parliament and the state.
The President of the Supreme Council of State praised the role of the General Staff in developing a conception of the professional military structure and rebuilding the institution in a sound and effective manner.
