Presidential Council meets with a number of members of the House of Representatives and High Council of State to discuss latest developments in the country.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, 11 June 2022 (Lana) President of the Presidential Council , Mohammed Al Mnefi Vice President Abdullah Al-Lafi held a meeting on Saturday with a number of members of the High Council of State, to discuss the latest developments in the situation in the country, and the best way to overcome the current political crisis, to hold elections. The Presidential Council said the meeting held at the House of Representatives in Tripoli discussed importance of the success of the meetings of the last round of the joint committee of the Houses of Representatives and the High Council of State, to be held in Cairo from 12-19 June, which aims to develop a consensual constitutional framework between all parties.
It was stressed, at the meeting, that work on the constitutional process should be completed to emerge from the political crisis and to continue to maintain calm and stability at this sensitive stage, in order to achieve the aspirations of the Libyan people to hold simultaneous parliamentary and presidential elections.
