Al-Mishri Assures Williams of the State Council's support to reach fair constitutional and legal basis for the elections.

Tripoli, 9 June 2022 (Lana)  President of the High Council of State Khaled Al-Mishri met yesterday with UN Secretary-General's Special Adviser on Libya ,Stephanie Williams, at the council's headquarters in Tripoli.

During the meeting Al-Mishri stressed the council's keenness to get out from political impasse, through consensus on fair constitutional ,and legal basis, to reach the elections ,that all Libyan people aspire to.

For her part, Williams briefed Al-Mashri on the series of recent meetings held in Tunisia, notably the meetings of the International Security Working Group on Libya, which included discussions with the Joint Military Commission 5+5 and with the international community, and expressed their unified support for ending work on the constitutional track.
