Dabaiba is following up with the Electricity Company its plan to confront the increase in consumption during the summer, and to evaluate the company's workflow.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, June 06, 2022 (LANA) - The Head of the Government of National Unity, "Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba", followed up with the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company, and the directors of the company's technical departments, the conditions of the public network, identifying the executive procedures and its plan to confront the increase in consumption during the summer, and evaluating the progress of work in the company.
Dabaiba stressed during the meeting - which was held this afternoon, at the Cabinet Office - on the need to follow up on ongoing projects and work to bring them into the network, with a focus on the company's plan to reduce consumption and provide the community, and the need to complete the contractual procedures for the stations south of Tripoli and Derna, and coordinate with the Audit Bureau. Regarding them, and work to complete the procedures for supplying prepaid meters that contribute significantly to reducing citizens’ consumption, and coordinate with the Ministry of Local Government and the General Authority for Endowments and Islamic Affairs for the success of the company’s plan.
In turn, the company's board chairman, Wiam Al-Abdali, stated that controlling consumption by citizens, shops, factories and mosques, will reduce their need for energy, adding that the company is working with municipalities on a plan to implement this.
For his part, the director of the company’s Production Projects Department explained that the events that occurred in the last period, west of Tripoli, led to delaying the station’s readiness and the departure of a number of Siemens technicians, which contributed to delaying the testing of the Misurata plant to start operating, however, work is underway to enter it the last week in June. The current production will reach (7,400) megawatts, in addition to some emergency overhauls and maintenance.
