President of Presidential Council Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Army meets the Joint Military Commission (5+5) members from the western region.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, 5 June 2022 (Lana) President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al Menfi Commander-in-Chief and Council Member Abdullah Al-Lafi met at the Council’s office in Tripoli on Sunday with members of the Joint Military Commission (5+5) from the western region, to discuss what the committee has accomplished during the past period and ways to maintain the state of calm.
According to the Council’s Communication Office the members of the Committee briefed the Commander-in-Chief on the results of the meeting of the full committee, on the sidelines of the recent UN-sponsored Meeting on Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration on Libya, which was recently hosted by the Spanish Government.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Army discussed with members of the Committee obstacles and organizational matters, which face the work of the Commission and ways to resolve them.
The Commander in Chief stressed the importance of committing to continue the efforts of all parties to find a solution to the current crisis to reach the electoral entitlements that all the Libyan people aspire to, while praising the commission's efforts to support the peaceful path and maintain stability in the country.
