Tripoli, May 31, 2022 (LANA)- The US Ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, said that maintaining and controlling national borders against smugglers, human traffickers and potential terrorists is a vital job for any country.
This came during a meeting with (20) Libyan customs, passports and counter-terrorism officers who participated in a training workshop on combating smuggling, hosted by the Tunisian capital within the embassy's export control and border security program, according to what the US embassy published on its official Facebook page.
During the meeting, the US ambassador expressed the United States' pleasure to assist Libya in developing its border security capabilities.
