Tripoli, May 30, 2022 (LANA) - The Resident Representative of the United Nations Program in Libya, Marc-Andre French, said that the elections, which are a milestone in the journey of achieving peace and stability, are the only way out of the political impasse in Libya.

This came in a tweet he published today on his Twitter account, after his meeting with the Head of the Electoral Commission, Imad Al-Sayeh.

During the meeting, French confirmed his support for the IHEC, stressing the importance of continuing to improve operations and the role of the IHEC so that it is ready for the upcoming elections.
