Head of GNU Government discusses with the Head of the Civil Status Department modernization of the database, the citizenship file and development of technical systems.

 Tripoli, 29 May 2022 (Lana) The Head of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Al Dabaiba, followed up on Sunday with the Head of the Civil Status Department, Brigadier General "Ramadan Al Thumon work in the department and difficulties it faces.

    According to the Prime Minister's communication office, the meeting also discussed a number of files, including the database update and the citizenship file, as well as the development of technical systems in the department.

 Following the meeting, Al Dabaiba met with a number of employees of the Department who objected to cabinet decision No. 441 on the transfer of their affiliation as local affairs offices to municipalities and their wish to keep affiliation to the department, the office said.

 The Head of Government assured the department's employees that their job files and financial procedures would be affiliated with the Interior Ministry, and that the transfer of some local jurisdictions should be carried out through the local administration.
