Libyan-Russian talks to set security arrangements for reopening the headquarters of the Russian Embassy in Tripoli.

Tripoli, May 28, 2022 (LANA) - The Director of the General Administration for the Protection of Diplomatic Missions, Brigadier Wissam bin Jameh, discussed with a Russian delegation security mechanisms and arrangements for reopening the headquarters of the Russian embassy in the capital, Tripoli.

The meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the Department of Relations and Cooperation in Tripoli, discussed the procedures for providing protection and guarding by the General Department for the Protection of Diplomatic Missions, in addition to several issues related to cooperation between the two sides, according to what was published by the official page of the General Department for the Protection of Diplomatic Missions.

The Russian delegation - headed by the Deputy Director of the Political Planning Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry "Aider Iganen" - the Chargé d'Affairs of the Russian Embassy in Libya "Jamshid Poltaev", the Second Secretary of the Russian Embassy in Libya "Sergey Khabarov", the Assistant Military Attaché in the embassy "Dmitry Molodtsov" and Deputy Director of the Security Directorate of the Russian Foreign Ministry "Ivan Shuker".

On the Libyan side, the meeting was attended by the Director of the Department of Relations and Cooperation, Dean “Salah Al-Din bin Suleiman”, the Head of the International Cooperation Office in the Department of Relations and Cooperation, Dean “Abu Madin Al-Khaliqi”, and the advisor to the Minister of Interior, “Youssef Al-Rabi” and “Ahmed Tantoush” from the Department of Cooperation and the European Affairs Department at the Ministry Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation "Ali Artema".
