Libya and Algeria discuss cooperation in electricity and energy area.

Algiers, 24 May 2022 (Lana) Algerian Minister of Energy and Mines Mohamed Araqab discussed Monday with The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company Wiam Al Abdali cooperation between the two companies. The meeting was attended by General Manager of the Sonelgas Complex.
The two sides reviewed prospects of cooperation between The Sonelgas Complex and the General Electricity Company in the field of electricity, especially in the area of supporting and accompanying the Libyan Electricity Company to implement its development program, electricity production and maintenance of electricity and training networks.
The Algerian Ministry of Energy and Mines said the visit was part of regular consultations between Sonelgaz and the Libyan Electricity Company, and the strengthening of energy cooperation between Algeria and Libya. The Libyan delegation will hold several meetings with managers and officials of the Sonelgas complex in Algeria with the aim of strengthening areas of cooperation.
