Tripoli, May 14, 2022 (LANA) - The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aqila Saleh, met in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, this evening, the Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stephanie Williams, to discuss the latest developments in Libya.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the constitutional path and efforts to amend the controversial points in the draft constitution within the Cairo meetings that are held between the House and State committees under the auspices of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, according to what was published by the official spokesman for the House of Representatives, "Abdullah Blehaq" on his official page on "Facebook" .
The meeting also dealt with the file of the executive authority and the state's general budget for the current year submitted by the government, in addition to the House of Representatives holding an official session during the coming period in the city of Sirte, according to what the Council approved in its session last week in support of the government's work from there.
