Presidential Council follows up with Minister of Finance financial situation of the government, in light of difficulties experienced by the citizens.

Tripoli, 10 May, 2022 (Lana) the President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al-Manfi, and the Representative in the Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, met, Tuesday, with the Minister of Finance, Khaled Al-Mabrouk.

The meeting reviewed the financial conditions of the government, in light of the difficulties that the citizens are experiencing at the present time, and the emphasis on the continuity of fulfilling the government's obligations, and mitigating the repercussions of the global economic crisis on the economic situation in the country.

 The Minister of Finance briefed the Presidential Council on the results of his visit to the United States of America, and his participation in the Spring Meetings of the Board of Governors of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, And the results of his meeting with Deputy Secretary of the US Treasury, Eric Mayer, and ways to develop cooperation between the Libyan Ministries of Finance and the US Treasury, especially with regard to providing technical support to the Ministry in the public financial system reform programme, and helping to develop an advanced financial system to address the problems and difficulties facing the ministry.
