 Tripoli, May 6, 2022 (LANA) - Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stephanie Williams, met yesterday, Thursday, Giuseppe Buccino, the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Libya.

   After their meeting in Tripoli, Williams tweeted, "I discussed with Ambassador Buccino the current situation in Libya and the importance of supporting a viable constitutional-electoral path in order to enable elections to take place in the shortest possible time frame."

"We also agreed on the need to ensure coordination of all international efforts on Libya to support the Libyan-led process, while maintaining calm on the ground", She added.
