The Office of Policy Support at the Presidential Council discusses opportunities to benefit from the US strategy to prevent conflict and promote stability.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, April 22, 2022 (LANA) - The Public Policy Support Office of the Presidential Council organized a dialogue on the intention of the United States of America to implement a ten-year strategy to prevent conflicts, in cooperation with several countries, including Libya.
Academics, youth elites, and political activists participated in the symposium, which was held on Tuesday in the capital, Tripoli, in addition to a number of human rights defenders and activists from civil society institutions.
The head of the Public Policy Support Office, "Mohamed Al-Darrat," stressed the importance of developing a clear and integrated vision to overcome the state of fragility and lack of chaos, in order to achieve the required amount of positive interaction with the American strategy. At the same time, it guarantees the nation's interests by overcoming the state of division and fears of being drawn into a civil war again.
Al-Darrat noted the statement of the US ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, in which he affirmed the United States' sustainable commitment to transcend the current stage, by reunifying the country under an elected government accountable to the Libyans, considering this announcement a favorable opportunity that the Libyan state can invest.
It is reported that the US Secretary of State, "Anthony Blinken," had announced earlier that the United States of America would implement a ten-year strategy; to prevent conflicts include Libya, Haiti, Mozambique, Papua New Guinea, and the West African Coast region.
