The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity discusses with the envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and his advisor in Libya the prospects of cooperation in the economic and security fields and the repercussions of the oil

Tripoli, April 20, 2022 (LANA) The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (Abdul Hamid al-Dabaiba) received today, Wednesday, at the Cabinet Office in Tripoli, the envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations (Rizdon Zeninga), and the adviser to the Secretary-General in Libya (Stephanie Williams), and a number of members of the mission.

The meeting was devoted to discussing the political situation in Libya, and the measures taken by the mission.

They also discussed prospects for cooperation in the economic and security fields, the repercussions of the oil closure, and the steps taken by the government towards these irresponsible actions.

During the meeting, the chancellor presented a brief detail of the results of the Cairo meeting between the two committees of the House of Representatives and the state, which seeks to create a constitutional basis on which to build on the elections.

For his part, the prime minister affirmed that the elections are a real goal for the government and it is working in coordination with the commission to unify efforts to prepare for the elections.
