Tripoli, April 15, 2022 (LANA) - The United Nations Support Mission in Libya has called for the immediate release of all arbitrarily detained persons.

This came in a statement issued by the mission yesterday, Thursday, in which it welcomed the recent release of the former head of the Libyan Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology Company, "Faisal Qarqab", the head of the General Student Union, "Mohamed Al-Qeblawy", and the head of the Libyan Red Crescent Society in Ajdabiya, "Mansour Atti", after the three were detained. In its statement, the mission also demanded that all arrests and detentions be based on the rule of law in line with Libya's human rights obligations.
