The Prime Minister is following up with the ministerial committee in charge of implementing the housing lending initiative the steps taken by the committee in particular.

Tripoli, April 12, 2022 (LANA) The Prime Minister (Abdul Hamid al-Dabaiba) held yesterday evening at the Council of Ministers an expanded meeting that included the ministerial committee in charge of implementing the housing lending initiative, in the presence of the Real Estate Registration Authority, the Director of the Public Property Authority, the Director General of the Savings and Real Estate Investment Bank and an advisor to the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya 

During the meeting, the steps taken by the committee to implement the housing lending initiative and the procedures for unfinished residential lands and apartments, identifying eligible beneficiaries in particular, and setting practical controls to start disbursing housing loans in the near future were discussed.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed that the housing initiative needs exceptional efforts for its success, and that serious work must be done to actually start implementing it by entering the stage of loan delivery.

The Minister of Local Government stated that nearly one million people had been registered in the system, and the required data had been completed by about 600,000 citizens, and the required documents had been sent.

Thus, the first phase of the initiative, which is registration, ended.
