Italian-Libyan talks in Tripoli for reconstruction of Tripoli international airport.

According to a report by the Italian agency Nova, on a tweet by Ambassador “Buccino”, the project cost is about 80 million euros to build two terminals, local and international, with all airport facilities.
According to "Nova", the resumption of the project, which obtained letters of credit from the Central Bank of Libya, is one of the tangible results of Italian economic diplomacy and the repeated visits to Libya by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, "Luigi Di Maio" and the mission of Prime Minister "Mario Draghi" to the capital, Tripoli, in April 2021.
Tripoli International Airport was closed in the summer of 2014 after it was severely damaged in the clashes that took place between armed groups in the capital.
