Tripoli, April 3, 2022 (LANA) - The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Medical Centers Affairs announced the launch of a localization program for local treatment, to improve the medical services provided by the sector.

The agent stressed that the implementation of the treatment localization program will be carried out by hosting foreign and Arab visiting doctors to perform advanced surgeries in various specialties within the specialized medical centers, as well as making twinning agreements between medical centers and public hospitals to cover the shortage of medical staff in hospitals, by sending medical teams. Specialized in performing surgical operations in remote hospitals located in areas with a high rate of road accidents, as well as in rural and public hospitals located in areas along the south of Libya.
