Prime Minister confirms government's keenness to activate decentralization and support local administration.

Tripoli, 31 March, 2022 (Lana) Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid al-Dabaiba, attended, Wednesday, in Tripoli, the conclusion of the work of the Supreme Council for Local Administration for the 2022, which lasted for three days, during which the municipalities' plan for the current year was discussed.

Prime Minister Abdel Hamid al-Dabaiba affirmed that the Government of National Unity is determined to activate decentralization, support local administration, complete the transfer of competencies and collect local revenuesAl-Dabaiba added that there is a good percentage of the development budget allocated to municipalities whose value was set at 2.5 billion dinars according to technical criteria determined by the Ministry of Local Government.

During the meeting, the Minister of Local Government, Badr Al-Din Al-Toumi, briefed the Prime Minister results of the first meeting of the local administration and the recommendations issued in its regard.
