Guterres: We count on Arab League to facilitate an agreement between Libyans.

  New York, 28 March 2022 (Lana) UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres says he is counting on the Arab League and its members to continue prioritizing an agreement on a comprehensive political process in Libya, and to move forward with the full implementation of Security Council Resolution 2570.

 This came during a speech to Guterres made at a UN Security Council meeting in New York on cooperation between the Council and regional and sub-regional organizations, the UN website reported.

The Secretary-General welcomed what he described as the constructive participation of the Arab League in Libya, to help maintain unity and stability, which have been achieved since the signing of the Libyan ceasefire in October 2020.
