Tripoli, March 26, 2022 (LANA) - Adviser to the United Nations Secretary-General on Libya, Stephanie Williams, expressed her confidence that members of the House of Representatives will join the Libyan consultations, which concluded their informal sessions in Tunisia, 3 days after their launch, in the presence of representatives of the Supreme Council of State.
In her tweet, Williams said that the door to negotiations facilitated by the United Nations on establishing a solid constitutional basis to enable fair and inclusive elections is always open, stressing that everything possible will be done for Libya.
The final session of the consultations witnessed the participation of representatives of the diplomatic corps in Libya, who renewed their support for the United Nations initiative, and exchanged discussion with the delegation of the Supreme Council of State regarding their views on the constitutional base.
