Tobruk, 24 March 2022 (Lana) Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Youssef Al-Aqouri, exchanged views on recent developments in Libya in a virtual meeting with U.S. Deputy Ambassador to Libya Leslie Ordman.
Al-Aqouri stressed the need to respect the democratic process and the role of Parliament, which represents the will of the Libyan people, to choose a new government representing all Libyan parties and to remove all foreign forces and mercenaries from Libya, saying that ignoring this will have serious implications for the democratic process and the peaceful transition of power.
