Libyan Union of Chambers of Commerce is discussing with the Ambassador of Spain to Libya ways to facilitate cooperation.

   Tripoli, 24 March 2022 (Lana) Member of Parliament and Director General of the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture Mohammed Al-Raed, on Wednesday held a meeting with the Spanish Ambassador to Libya, Javier Larachi, to discuss ways of upgrading economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Ambassador was accompanied by the Spanish businessman and a partner of the consulting firm "JTF" Javier Leytamandi. The sources explained that the meeting was attended by: Director General of the Union Asaad Al-Sharata, Advisor on International Relations of Prime Minister Mohamed Wafa, Director of Economic Department Jamal Suissi, Captain of Dentists of Libya Adnan Marwan, in addition to Azzam Triki from the Pharmacy Department of the Ministry of Health.

 The meeting focused on investment, especially in the field of solar energy, in addition to opening channels of communication between economic dealers in both countries, and addressing the memorandum of understanding between the Union and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, and the importance of activating it, because of its role in promoting cooperation and overcoming difficulties, especially the economic ones.

The meeting also stressed the importance of facilitating visa procedures, as well as exchange of delegations between Libya and Spain.
