Tripoli, March 23, 2022 (LANA) - The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, "Abdul Hamid al-Dabaiba" met today, Wednesday, at the Cabinet Office, a number of political parties as part of the initiative to return the trust to the people.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed that the elections will be held on time, stressing the importance of the parties' role in pushing for the return of the trust to the people, according to what was published by the Prime Minister's Media Office on his official Facebook page.
Dabaiba asked the political parties to submit a proposal for state support for the parties, to create honest democratic political competition away from external funding.
The attendees agreed to hold a gathering of the licensed parties, through which the set of amendments required in the executive regulations of the parties would be agreed upon, in addition to proposing personalities for membership of the National Committee to implement the plan to return the secretariat to the people.
